Stay Comfy Minnesota is a proud sponsor of the The ALS Association Minnesota/North Dakota/South Dakota Chapter, a not-for-profit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, affects nearly 30,000 Americans at any given time with an estimated 15 new cases each day. Sufferers experience a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. At the present time, research studies investigating possible genetic and/or environmental risk factors associated with ALS have been inconclusive. For this reason, it is important to dedicate time and resources to finding out what the risk factors are so that they can be determined early and/or prevented.
The Minnesota chapter of The ALS Association is dedicated to helping local patients and families live with ALS while the National Office focuses primarily on research and advocacy. Stay Comfy Minnesota is honored to be a player in the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease and believes that the generosity of others will go a long way in winning the fight.
